Each year, residents take great pride in decorating their homes for the holidays. Plan a route ahead of time or pick a few of your favorite neighborhoods to drive through. The kids will love looking at all the festive displays, many of which have their own Christmas-themed music.

Don’t forget to stop and pick up an easy and healthy dinner. La Rosa Chicken and Grill has individual and family grilled chicken meals that you can eat in the car!

2. Ride The Christmas North Pole Express

Take a 40-minute drive to Flemington Station where you can board the North Pole Express. You’ll get to go over the river and through the woods with Santa and his elves! All passengers also receive a chocolate chip cookie, hot chocolate and silver bell. Photo ops and face painting will also be available.

3. View the Holiday Lights Spectacular at Turtle Back Zoo

As long as you don’t mind the crisp winter air, you’ll love taking a nighttime stroll through Turtle Back Zoo. More than 50 illuminated winter scenes and animal characters will be on display. You can also grab a hot chocolate and other late-night snacks from the open vendors. Admission to the holiday lights is FREE.
